#2 Sharks Sweep West Florida

PENSACOLA, FLA. – The reigning national champions, the second-ranked Nova Southeastern Women's Tennis team secured a clean sweep over the University of West Florida at the Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex. The Sharks have now won 15 consecutive matches dating back to April 28th, 2024.

SINGLES

  • Kristyna Hranacova dominated her match, defeating Carlota Verdu in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1.

  • Ita Habekovic won a tight second set tiebreaker, securing a 6-4, 7-6 (9-7) victory over Sandra Recuenco Tarin.

  • Sofia Shing fought through three sets to beat out Aline Midori with a 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 win.

  • Isabella Ciancaglini made a strong comeback, after losing the first set, to defeat Guadalupe Martinez  3-6, 6-2, 6-2.

  • Noemie Dadoun controlled the match from start to finish, defeating Nathalia Mossambani 6-2, 6-4.

  • Julia Moraes had a commanding performance, taking down Alberte Joergensen 6-1, 6-2.

What's Next
No. 2 Nova Southeastern returns to the courts on Tuesday, March 6th, against the No.12 University of West Alabama in Pensacola. First serve is set for 2pm.
